Ginger Rogers was an American actress and dancer. Rogers got her start on the vaudeville circuit before working on Broadway. She later came to Hollywood and would go on to make more than 70 movies. Known for her dancing routines with fellow screen legend Fred Astaire in films like TOP HAT and SWING TIME, Rogers won an Academy Award for best actress for her role in KITTY FOYLE (1940).
