- BiographyVirginia Grey (1917-2004) was an American film and television actress active from 1926 to 1976. Her career began in silent film with UNCLE TOM’S CABIN (1927) and in more than 100 films over the next five decades she worked for nearly every major studio and in every genre. She is best known for her long professional association with producer Ross Hunter, which included work in his films ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS (1955), BACK STREET (1961), and MADAME X (1966).
