Biography
Roger McDonald was a commercial art director who became a story illustrator and did uncredited work on GONE WITH THE WIND (1939), REBECCA (1940), THE LITTLE FOXES (1941), THE PRIDE OF THE YANKEES (1942), THE JUNGLE BOOK (1942), PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1943), PHANTOM LADY (1944), A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN (1945), STATE FAIR (1945), ARCH OF TRIUMPH (1948), SPLIT SECOND (1953), and I, THE JURY (1953). He was also heavily involved with the Hollywood studio strikes between 1945-1947 and served as the New York representative of the Screen Set Designers, Illustrators and Decorators (Local 1421).
