Biography
Nick Grinde was an American director and screenwriter. He entered the film industry in the early 1920s as an assistant director. Grinde became a full-fledged director in 1928 and was active through the 1950s, working on industrial shorts in later years. His best-known feature films are THE BISHOP MURDER CASE (1930), GOOD NEWS (1930), and HITLER-DEAD OR ALIVE (1943). The screenplay for BABES IN TOYLAND (1934), which Grinde cowrote, is among his occasional writing credits. Grinde directed the Academy Award-winning short subject HOW TO SLEEP (1935).
