DescriptionThis 1919 short, silent drama features prehistoric creatures created by stop-motion animation pioneer Willis H. O’Brien who was later responsible for the visual effects in THE LOST WORLD (1925), KING KONG (1933) and MIGHTY JOE YOUNG (1949). O’Brien, who also appears as “Mad Dick,” co-wrote the story with producer Herbert M. Dawley who plays “Uncle Jack.” The film was the first to combine stop-motion creatures and live actors.
