Two dozen journalists are represented, including Bosley Crowther, Jimmie Fidler, Sheilah Graham, Hedda Hopper, Erskine Johnson, Louella O. Parsons, Edwin Schallert, Philip K. Scheuer, Sidney Skolsky, and Walter Winchell. The Winchell columns are titled, "In New York and Hollywood."
Hollywood columnists write about film celebrities, often with personal, sensational, or intimate details of their lives and conduct. Current assignments, changes in marital status, legal problems, and similar subjects are often found in the columns. Louella Parsons and Hedda Hopper were among the leading Hollywood columnists during the height of the studio era from the 1930s to 1950s.
