- BiographyThe Hollywood Coordinating Committee was a service organization most active in the 1940s and 1950s. Formed as the Hollywood Victory Committee in 1941, the organization made arrangements for Hollywood personalities to attend bond drives, entertain at USO-Camp Shows, and perform other morale-boosting activities. At the conclusion of World War II, it changed its name to the Hollywood Coordinating Committee and shifted focus to charitable events. Actor George Murphy served as president.
