The collection contains Winecoff's research for his 1996 biography on Anthony Perkins. There are clippings and reviews, correspondence, and notes for more than 40 feature films and around a dozen television movies and stage plays. There are a few related biographical and subject files. There are also a dozen audio tape recordings containing interviews with friends and associates of Perkins and a few photographs. The photograph series consists of motion picture production, stage production, and biography photographs.
- BiographyCharles Winecoff is an American television writer and journalist. He has served as a writer and consultant on "E! True Hollywood Story." His biography on actor Anthony Perkins was published in 1996.
- Anthony Perkins was an American actor and singer active from 1953 until his death in 1992. He is best known for his role in PSYCHO, although his diverse acting credits include MAHOGANY, ON THE BEACH, PHAEDRA, PRETTY POISON, THE TRIAL, and FRIENDLY PERSUASION, for which he was nominated of an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. He also co-wrote the screenplay for THE LAST OF SHEILA with Stephen Sondheim.
