- Summary
The collection contains production files, including scripts, writings by Forbes, books, and photographs. The material includes copies of a majority of his screenplays, both produced and unproduced, and production records for some 30 to 40 films Forbes was associated with as well as material pertaining to the three years when he served as the head of production for EMI/MGM at Elstree Film Studios outside London. Also included are copies of his published works such as a first edition of his 1974 autobiography, "Notes for a Life."
- BiographyBryan Forbes (b. 1926) is a British director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He was nominated for an Academy Award in the writing category for THE ANGRY SILENCE (1960).
