The Anne Seymour papers span the years 1946-1980 (bulk 1960s-1970s) and encompass 0.2 linear foot. Material includes call sheets for FITZWILLY (1967), THE MAN (1972), and POLLYANNA (1960), and a rehearsal and shooting schedule for SO LONG, BLUE BOY (1973). A small amount of correspondence includes letters from Ralph Bellamy, James Cagney, Bing Crosby, George Cukor, Charles Champlin, Helen Hayes, Delbert Mann, Vincent Price, Dore Schary, David Swift, and Jane Wyman. - BiographyAnne Seymour (1909-1988) was born Anne Seymour Eckert in New York City. She graduated from St. Mary's Episcopal School for Girls and attended the American Laboratory Theater School. Her Broadway debut was in 1928 in "Mr. Moneypenny." Her radio career began in the early 1930s and included seven years with "The Story of Mary Marlin." Her television career began in 1952 and included live television. Seymour's motion picture debut was in ALL THE KING'S MEN (1949). Her other credits include DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS (1958), MISTY (1961), and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINES WITHOUT REALLY TRYING (1967). Her last film was FILED OF DREAMS (1989).
