- BiographyHarry Horner was an American production designer and set designer born in what is now the Czech Republic. He came to the United States in the 1930s and was active as a production designer in American film from the 1940s to 1980. He also directed a handful of films in the 1950s. Horner received Academy Awards in the art direction category for THE HEIRESS (1949) and THE HUSTLER (1961).
