- BiographyRay Stark was an American talent agent and film producer active from 1938 to 1999. He helped produce more than 250 films, including FAT CITY, THE WAY WE WERE, CALIFORNIA SUITE, and STEEL MAGNOLIAS, among many others. He was twice nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture for FUNNY GIRL and THE GOODBYE GIRL and he was bestowed the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1980.
