- BiographyDamien Chazelle is an American filmmaker active since 2008. He has been twice nominated for an Academy Award for Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay for WHIPLASH and Best Original Screenplay for LA LA LAND. He received the Academy Award for Best Achievement in Directing for LA LA LAND, making him the youngest director to win the award. Additionally, he co-wrote the screenplay for 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE and produced and directed FIRST MAN.
