- BiographyBoris Leven was a Russian-born art director and production designer. Born in Moscow, Leven emigrated to the United States in 1927 and became a naturalized citizen in 1938. His Hollywood career spanned from 1938 to 1986. Nominated nine times in the art direction category, he received an Academy Award for WEST SIDE STORY (1961).
