- BiographyWerner Janssen was an American composer and conductor. He wrote music scores for a dozen features and a few other films between 1936 and 1958. Janssen received five Academy Award nominations in the music score category. During the 1940s and into the 1950s he led the Jannsen Symphony in concerts in Los Angeles, although he is probably best known for his lengthy career in classical music, as a music director, conductor, and recording artist.
