- BiographyTodd-AO is an American post-production company that provides sound-related services to the motion picture industry. The company was founded in 1953 as a joint venture of Michael Todd and the American Optical Company to develop a large format presentation system with multi-channel sound for motion picture exhibition. Todd-AO operates facilities for sound re-recording and mixing, automatic dialog replacement, and Foley in Burbank, Hollywood, and Santa Monica.
