The Dwight Cleveland collection of posters contains more than 1,000 mostly one-sheet posters for films primarily produced in the United States. The collection documents B movies of the studio era and includes examples from Warner Bros., Fox, MGM, Paramount, and RKO. Genres represented document musicals, biblical tales, Westerns, war films, and films dealing with social problems.
- BiographyDwight Cleveland is a real-estate developer in Chicago, Illinois. He began collecting posters in 1977 while in high school, inspired by film posters in an art teacher’s classroom.
