- BiographyLiliore Green Rains was the daughter and heiress of Burton Green, who developed the city of Beverly Hills, California in the early 1900s through the Rodeo Land and Water Company. Rains's parents named the area Beverly Hills after Beverly Farms, Massachusetts.
