The scrapbooks contain clippings, primarily from San Francisco newspapers. Most are of reviews, advertising, and publicity regarding films released in the Bay area. Most of the clippings are not sourced or dated, some may be from Seattle area newspapers. One 1970s scrapbook contains clippings from various newspapers regarding Alice Faye. The first volume from 1933 appears to be unrelated to the others. It contains clippings regarding the advertising, exploitation, and publicity campaign for I’M NO ANGEL (1933) in Kansas City, including a “Come Up and See Me Some Time” Mae West prize offering a round-trip ticket to Hollywood and one restaurant napkin imprinted by a local theater.
