GONE WITH THE WIND is a 1939 American feature film adapted from Margaret Mitchell’s 1936 novel of the same name and directed by Victor Fleming. The film was produced by Selznick International Pictures and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was the best picture of 1939 and received seven other Academy Awards from its thirteen nominations, along with a Special Award and a Scientific or Technical Award. - BiographyPeggy Abbott Miller is a graduate of the School of Fashion Design at Virginia Commonwealth University and is the founder of Pegee® of Williamsburg LLC, Patterns From Historie. In recognition of the 50th anniversary of GONE WITH THE WIND, Miller created a pattern for Scarlett O'Hara's Barbecue Party Dress after viewing the actual costume in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art collection.
