- Summary
The scrapbooks were compiled in the mid-1930s from collected theater and opera programs and related clippings. While many of the programs are from Chicago, there are some from New York, St. Louis, and London, which Hardcastle apparently visited in 1922. The scrapbooks are annotated with comments as to who married whom; and many of the programs are annotated with comments, such as, "now in the movies." Hardcastle apparently attended the numerous programs.
