- BiographyThe General Federation of Women's Clubs, formed in 1901, is an international volunteer service organization dedicated to providing opportunities to strengthen the role of women in the community. A subgroup, the Women’s Club Motion Picture Program, sought to improve the quality of film by urging discriminatory patronage. Their primary function was to supply information on, and reviews of, films in current release.
