The Sacheen Littlefeather letter is from 1986. It is a handwritten letter from Littlefeather to Jim Pinkston and Peter Brown with responses to questions regarding the FBI, whether she felt exploited by Marlon Brando, racism and oppression of Native Americans, and information on her present activities. Two microcassettes contain Littlefeather's explanation to Peter Brown of accepting Marlon Brando's Oscar at the 1972 (45th) Academy Awards.

Littlefeather appeared on stage on behalf of actor Marlon Brando at the Academy Awards ceremony in 1973 when Brando was announced as the winner in the best actor category for THE GODFATHER (1972).
