- BiographyBill Thomas was an American costume designer active in film from 1950 to 1981. He was nominated ten times in the costume design category and received an Academy Award for SPARTACUS (1960). Born in Chicago, he studied at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and began his career at Western Costume.
