The Frank Tashlin papers include scripts, production material, clippings, correspondence, and scrapbooks. The scrapbooks dating from 1925 to 1959 contain newspaper and magazine cartoons drawn by Tashlin, photographs, letters and memos, and clippings. Frank Tashlin began his career as a cartoonist in the 1930s and transitioned to live action writing and directing from the 1940s through the 1960s.
