- BiographyStephen Goosson was an American art director active in film from 1921 to 1948. He began his career as an architect in Detroit. After visiting Hollywood in 1919, he switched careers to become a production designer for film. Goosson worked at Columbia Pictures throughout the 1930s and 1940s. He received an Academy Award in art direction for LOST HORIZON (1937) and was nominated in the category for four other films between 1930 and 1945.
