- BiographyStephen Longstreet was a screenwriter and author of more than 100 fiction and non-fiction books. An artist by training, Longstreet chronicled the colorful world of jazz during the 1920s, but switched to writing during the Depression to make a living. Under contract at Warner Bros. in the 1940s, Longstreet wrote THE JOLSON STORY (1946) and STALLION ROAD (1947).
