- BiographyKen Adam is a German-born, London-trained production designer and art director most active in film from 1956 to 2001. Adam received Academy Awards in the art direction category for BARRY LYNDON (1975) and THE MADNESS OF KING GEORGE (1994). He co-authored the 2008 book, “Ken Adam Designs the Movies: James Bond and Beyond.”
